The Colac Vets had a field of fourteen riders for their club race.
Riders competed over the same course as a warm up for next weeks Red Rock Classic.
The race was one lap shorter than what riders will be doing next week, but proved to be tough conditions with a strong westerly blowing.
Limit rider Des read was only caught 4km from the finish.
Five riders left from the second and third scratch bunches contested the uphill sprint finish, with David Coventry proving too strong to take out his second win for the year ahead of an in-form Heather Hamling with Damian Luppino in third place.
The three scratchmen finished just over a minute later with Tony Luppino digging deep to just get over the top of David Lunn, with Grant Oates further back, to take fastest time.
This weeks Red Rock Classic will have riders from Geelong and Warrnambool joining Colac to compete over the 54Km course.

The Colac Vets had a field of eleven riders for their monthly medal.
Riders raced in clear conditions with moderate winds.
With only one middle marker turning up to race, Gary Legg was put out with front markers Neil Widdicombe and Bruce Roberts.
These three had a 17-minute start on the strong scratch trio.
With Legg being the stronger of the three, Roberts was the first to drop off the pace after the half way mark and then Widdicombe with 8Km to go.
Meanwhile the scratchmen had reeled in the 4-minute second scratch trio and the 7-minute duo at the three-quarter mark.
But Legg held out and went on to finish with 51 seconds to spare over the fast finishing scratchmen to claim his first win in three and a half years, which also was a monthly medal.
Tony Luppino led in David Lunn and Grant Oates to take fastest time.

The Colac Vets only had eight dedicated competitors turn up to race for their club race after heavy early morning rain on Sunday.
However, by the time the race started the rain had cleared with only very strong westerly winds to contend with making for tough conditions.
Lone scratchman Tony Luppino rode a determined race to reel in the second scratch bunch of four riders, which had splintered early.
Arno van der Schans and Heather Hamling from second scratch, had picked up Gerard Hickey from the 11-minute duo, with these three riders being caught by Luppino with 12Km to go.
Limit rider Des Read held out until 6Km to go coming in to Alvie.
Luppino then cleared away coming over the Alvie hill finishing at the Cororooke hall a clear winner, with van der Schans coming in second ahead of Hamling in third.
